This workshop is the perfect introduction to the Balanced Scorecard, including Strategy Maps and broader issues of Strategic Performance Management. The course is designed to give participants a practical introduction to these popular management tools or to provide a refresher to those who feel their scorecard knowledge is a little dated. In an interactive workshop participants will learn about the four perspectives of the Balanced Scorecard, how to design relevant strategic objectives, how to draw up a Strategy Map, and how to develop meaningful performance indicators.

A new partnership between CIPFA and API provides a series of workshops for public sector organisaitons.
The tight financial settlement under CSR07 means that choices are getting tougher and authorities need to focus more and rapidly deal with services that are not performing. The Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) will also require English authorities to produce better information on performance and for that information to be made more accessible and widely available to stakeholders.
In the workshop, Bernard Marr from the Advanced Performance Institute will outline how to create a performance management framework (scorecard and a strategic map).
