Dr. David J. Teece
  Professor David Teece holds the Thomas W. Tusher Chair in Global Business at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is also the director of the Institute of Management, Innovation, and Organization.

Teece is a leading researcher in the fields of corporate strategy and innovation. According to Science Watch, he was a top 10 listed author for the decade 1995-2005, based on citation counts in the top 100 journals in business and economics. He is also an acclaimed practitioner with leading roles in several firms including co-founder and vice chairman of LECG, the Law and Economic Consulting Group (NASDAQ:XPRT). Teece has been listed among the "Top 50 Business Intellectuals" by Accenture.

     
Dr. Robert D. Austin
  Robert Austin is Associate Professor at Harvard Business School (HBS), Guest Professor at Copenhagen Business School (CBS), and faculty chair of the HBS Executive Education program for Chief Information Officers. His research focuses on knowledge-intensive work; he has authored, coauthored, or co-edited several books, including ‘Measuring and Managing Performance in Organizations’ and ‘The Broadband Explosion’ (with S. Bradley). He also has written numerous articles in academic and practitioner journals.

His industry experience includes work as an executive for a business incubated by a leading technology company and as a manager at Ford Motor Company.

     
Bruno Aziza
  Bruno Aziza is a recognized authority on Information Management and Strategy Execution. He is co-author of the best-selling book, “Drive Business Performance: Enabling a Culture of Intelligent Execution." Aziza currently works on Microsoft Business Intelligence’s global strategy. Prior to that, he held management positions at Apple Inc., Business Objects (SAP), AppStream (Symantec) and Decathlon SA.

Aziza speaks French, German and English fluently and holds a Master’s degree in Business and Economics. He frequently shares his insights at industry events as well as academic venues.

     
Dr. Dean R. Spitzer
  Dean Spitzer is President of Dean R. Spitzer & Associates Inc. in the US and an internationally recognized authority on performance measurement. He has over 30 years experience in helping individuals and organisations achieve superior performance. For many years, he was the IBM thought leader in the area of performance management and measurement.

Dr. Spitzer is the author of 8 books and over 200 articles on various aspects of performance management and improvement, including his latest book 'Transforming Performance Measurement' (see our resources section).


     
Dr. Klaus Moeller
  Prof. Dr. Klaus Moeller holds the chair of Management Accounting and Control at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in Germany.

Prof Moeller is widely recognised as a leading reseracher on the development and operation of performance measurement and management control systems to enable managers to make better informed decisions.

     
Dr. Péter Horváth
  Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Dr. h.c. mult. Péter Horváth is a leading researcher and practitioner in the field of management accounting and performance management. He is an emeritus professor at the University of Stuttgart, the managing director of the International Performance Research Institute gGmbH (IPRI) as well as the founder and chairman of the Horváth AG, with offices in Atlanta, Barcelona, Berlin, Bucharest, Budapest, Düsseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart, Vienna, and Zurich.

Prof. Horváth is the author of several books and articles (mainly in German) including the seminal handbook ‘Controlling’ which is in its 10 edition.

     
Frank Buytendijk
  Frank Buytendijk is Vice President of Enterprise Performance Management Strategy for Oracle and previously a Gartner Research Vice President, he is one of world's most recognised thought leaders on Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).

As a researcher, presenter, and business strategy consultant for Oracle’s customers, Buytendijk's style is best described as provocative, out-of-the-box, and future-oriented, while adding a human touch. Based in The Netherlands, Frank brings 20 years of experience in BI & EPM.

     
Ian Shore
  Ian Shore is a performance management and information systems expert in the charity, public sector and military context. He has over 33 years of experience and until recently served as Wing Commander (Management Systems) with the Royal Air Force at Headquarters Air Command. There he initiated and implemented a bespoke Management Information System, within the context of Balanced Scorecard reporting, and he pioneered the integration of performance and risk management processes throughout the Royal Air Force. He is now the managing director of Ideal Solutions (Consultancy) Ltd offering consultancy support in the fields of performance and risk management to government, local authorities, charities and churches.

     
James Creelman
  James Creelman is a recognised global authority on Balanced Scorecard and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). James is the author of 17 books and reports on the topic, including 'Managing Business in Asia' (a bestseller in Asia) and 'Reinventing Planning and Budgeting for the Adaptive Enterprise' (a new report).

As well as advising organisations on their balanced scorecard and EPM initiatives, James also leads workshops and training seminars throughout the world.

     
Leif Edvinsson
  Professor Leif Edvinsson is adjunct Professor at Lund University and professor adj. at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Leif Edvinsson is a pioneering thinker in the field of measuring and managing intellectual capital. He is the author of numerous articles on service management and on Intellectual Capital and he has written a few books on the topic. In 1997, together with Michael S. Malone, Leif Edvinsson published one of the first books on Intellectual Capital.

     
Marc Andre Marr
  Marc André Marr is an international expert and advisor on environmental performance and sustainable development and a competent commentator on the energy sector as well as on global climate policy issues. Marc has operated in Germany, England, Australia, India, Denmark and Switzerland and worked for organisations including E.ON and the Energy Foundation. He is currently with Perspectives Climate Change GmbH, a worldwide operating consultancy for the greenhouse gas marked focusing on Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM).

     
Mark Graham Brown
  Mark Graham Brown is an experienced consultant and well-known author in the field of performance measurement and balanced scorecard. He has worked with major corporations and government organisations on measuring and improving performance for the last 28 years.

His books include ‘Beyond the Balanced Scorecard – Improving business intelligence with analytics’, ‘Keeping Score – Using the right metrics to drive world-class performance’, ‘Winning Score – How to design and implement organizational scorecards’.


     
Paul R. Niven
  Paul Niven is an author, management consultant, and noted speaker on the subjects of Performance Management and the Balanced Scorecard. As both a practitioner and consultant he has developed successful Balanced Scorecard systems for clients in a wide variety of organizations. His books include 'Balanced Scorecard Step by Step'; 'Balanced Scorecard Step by Step for Governments and Nonprofits' and 'Balanced Scorecard Diagnostics.
